Diesel Parts Direct provides total and complete support for a number of leading diesel engine lines including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Deutz, Isuzu, John Deere, Kubota, Northern Lights, Perkins, Westerbeke, and Yanmar.

We are looking to fill a senior diesel engine service technician position for our growing Service Department. This position will focus on our genuine factory lines which include but are not limited to Deutz, Perkins, Isuzu, Kubota and Yanmar.

General Position Responsibilities:

Perform quality maintenance, diagnostics, inspections and rebuilds.

Must be able to disassemble and reassemble all components and equipment (i.e.: engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, electrical systems, etc.).

Be familiar with fuel systems, power generation, electrical systems, etc.

Must work well with others and be willing to conduct themselves in accordance with our company values.

Willing and able to work in the shop or at customers locations. (currently position is about 75% shop time/ 25% field service time)

Willing and able to travel if needed. (technicians use their own vehicles but are compensated for mileage)

Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.

Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Completes training as required for dealerships (training is typically out of state).

Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Our mechanics are responsible for their own tools. Candidates should have 3+ years of heavy-duty diesel engine knowledge and experience! Plus be able to lift or move +25lbs. Pay $DOE. 7:00-3:45PM, M-F, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision. Drop off resume at 8784 S. Choctaw Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815
