Transportation Supervisor's responsibilities:
Provides high degree of collaboration with departments and tailors logistical capabilities to meet customer needs.
Monitors and reports on Logistics Services and logistic driver performance levels according to established guidelines.
Responsible for one-three day training rides yearly
Validates all relevant and procedures.
Resolves employee problems and conflicts and reports conflicts with the logistics manager.
Maintains department payroll and audits department payroll and corrects any errors.
Maintains and schedules maintenance on all trucks.
Monday through Friday, 8 am until 5 pm
CDL Class B AND Ability to gain Class A right away
3 years delivery experience beneficial.
2 to 4 years of successful managerial experience in the logistic and/or transportation field.
Equipment Used: Motor vehicles ranging in size from small minivans to trucks with gross weight of 26,000 lbs., forklift, pallet jack, order picker, and 2-wheel dollies.
Understanding of DOT regulations
Technical skills including computers, quality programs, and logistics metrics; analytical/cost skills.
