Need storm contracting crews (Central Louisiana)

Vacancy expired!

We are looking to add several disaster response contractor teams to deploy generators and run base camps on short notice, sometimes same day, to events that cause power outages. We are currently in the mist of the second most active hurricane season on record as the second hurricane of the year Isaias is hitting the East Coast.

We have two primary Storm Positions

First: A Gen-tech team tows trailer mounted generators to communication towers, wire them in, and bring the tower back to life in a disaster area where the power grid is down. Then after generators are deployed we maintain, refuel, and then recover them once power is restored to the area.

3/4 ton 4x4 truck or larger is required and you must be electrically proficient for this position.

Second: We need support staff to run these fully self sufficient base camps for power restoration employees. Our staff provides and cover all aspects of these yards; Admin, food, sanitation/cleaning, logistics, etc. No truck is required for this position but you MUST be at least 18 and have reliable transportation to get to the site.

We have recruiting opportunities with PASSIVE RESIDUAL revenue for anyone interested in additional income, please inquire. Multiple teams, trucks or companies can be set up.

Missions last an average of 1-5 weeks. Each Team makes an average of $1700 to $5500 a week with housing, food, and fuel covered (depending on contract). You will be working with many other contractor teams in a very positive, friendly and rewarding work environment from centrally located bases set up in or near disaster areas.

SunnySide is excited to extend "non-storm" work opportunities to our traditional storm contracting network as well.

Business as usual generator deployments, are tickets run anytime power goes out at a single cell site. While these jobs can be a precursor to storm deployments, they are administered differently. It depends on what market your in, but if you are the primary technician, you can expect 100 to 200 hours a month. You are paid from when you leave your house until you get back to your house, average ticket is about 10 hours.

(Gen-tech):

Basic knowledge with single phase 240 electricity (electrical contractors preferred)

The current job posting is for hard wire but most sites are cam-lock plug and play. The ability to hard wire generators to cell phone towers allows you to work on all available contracts

Min 18 years old with valid driver license

Smartphone with text capabilities and camera

Ability to deploy with short notice

There is a registration process, instructions will be sent to you in a follow up email.
