Preparing sales and use tax filings and associated journal entries in the general ledger system.
Sorting mail and distributing to employees in the Accounting Department.
Compiling joint venture income statement and balance sheet packets.
Printing and sorting financial statements for training purposes.
Analyzing assigned income statement accounts to explain month-to-month variances.
Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Performing all procedures in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
Adhering to all departmental policies and procedures.
Performing all other duties as assigned.
QualificationsFormal Education : Bachelor's Degree In ProgressExperience : 0-1 yearLicense, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: NoExperience Desired
Currently enrolled in an accredited college studying Accounting
Junior or Senior level college ranking (preferred, but not necessary)
Must be skilled in use of Excel
Attention to detail
Must possess excellent work habits and dependability
Able to work approximately 20 hours per week
