Hiring Position: Property Inspector

Salary: Non-Employee $100.00 to $500.00 /monthÂÂ
Job Responsibilities:
As a Property Inspector for Cajun Preservation, you are an independent contractor and have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you prefer. You have the option to decline per job if you are unable to complete an assigned job based on the requirements - distance and/or time-frame in which it needs to be submitted. When an inspection is assigned to you, an email is sent to you with specific instructions on what is needed and when it is due. This job is ideal for someone who must have reliable transportation, a smart-phone, email capabilities for communication and good communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
Scheduling inspections
Performing property inspections in a timely fashion
Obtaining information and required documents/photographs from property contacts for each inspection
Photographing interior and exterior of (mostly) vacant properties, being sure to meet client-specific requirements
Filling out inspection forms (as needed) using proper grammar and spelling
(Occasional) Posting of notices as requested by client
Relaying information and notes to the office regarding the inspection that may affect work at the property
Qualifications:
Independent contractors receive a 1099 tax form each year and are responsible for their own taxes. A bank account is required in order to be paid by our company. Pay is on a per inspection basis and is based on the type of each inspection completed. Property inspectors should meet the following requirements below:
Dress - Casual and have a clean appearance
Be available for training on systems and processes
Be able to schedule appointments
Ensure all inspections are completed in a timely fashion
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Have confidence in speaking and meeting with property contacts when necessary
Must be able to ask questions / obtain information required on an inspection form
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Should be proficient with computers and related technology including phone, phone camera, downloading photos onto a computer, access to scanning documents, and uploading photos into in-house programs if needed (training provided)
Knowledgeable in basic computer skills including email and basic internet navigating skills
Must be able to follow required instructions provided by the client (which will be provided with each inspection)
Follow photo requirements for each inspection (Standard is 30-100 photos)
Must have reliable transportation
Inspection fees range from $20 to $60 (more if you are certified in different inspection types)ÂÂ
