Description SHIFT: Day JobSCHEDULE: Full-timeDirector I ComplianceThis position must be able to sit onsite in an Anthem core office Due to COVID our offices are currently closed. This position will start remote and will go into the office once offices are back open. Responsible for directing the implementation of the department's initiatives.Primary duties with consistent proficiency and expert skill level and tasks with advanced complexity and broad/enterprise scale may include, but are not limited to:
Compare performance to that of other organizations through benchmarking.
Directs and leads programs with multiple layers, objectives, tasks, stakeholders, requirements; assess and report on program/process effectiveness; creates policies, procedures and tools needed to operate daily function of program; manage/oversee/influence resources impacting projects or programs from matrixed organizations under different leadership.
Develops and leads strategic plans, makes recommendations to leadership.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports; perform quality oversight of departmental work products/output; plan, document and communicate department work, noting accountable direct reports and deadlines; collaborates with management to set strategic vision.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS; MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred; 8-10 years of health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
3-5 years management experience, including strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff.
Ability to travel may be required.
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid is strongly preferred.
Must be able to sit onsite in an Anthem core office.
Ability to manage 8-10 direct reports.
Experience engaging with regulators in support of auditors/exams strongly preferred.
