R15560Overview:The Senior Graphic Designer, working closely with the Creative Director, will be responsible for ideating, developing and creating effective, on-strategy and on-brand campaigns and creative concepts such as publications, sales support, web design, landing pages, infographics, social media graphics and digital ads.Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, deliver and present on-brand on-strategy designs based on existing brand guidelines. Assist in the assessment and modification of brand guidelines.
Translate product positioning, existing research, and online Marketing strategies into effective designs.
Work closely with the Creative Manager, who will advise on the creative process of creating concepts, presentations, layouts, and final artwork to keep the visual cohesion and quality standards of all our brands.
Work with Director of Digital Marketing to translate and create marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs, in an iterative, agile fashion.
Support the Marketing teams, working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to create visual materials, making sure they are accurate and ready to be used in print and online platforms.
Manage high volume of projects ensuring all work is delivered on deadline.
Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing. Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders including client, marketing, and cross-functional team members. Shares idea and best practices with members of the creative team.
Mentor and aid with art direction of more junior team members.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:The Sr. Graphic Designer position is part of an internal creative resource that believes we’re smarter together and offers creative strategic insights, an integrated approach to digital creative experiences, as well as traditional print and presentation projects through blue-ribbon service to our internal clients.Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEducation and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, graphic communications or related field and minimum of 5 years’ professional design experience; or in lieu of a degree, a combined 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ professional design experience.
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Understanding of branding and identity design, including a sense of composition, typography, use of color, and eye for detail.
Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertising, and multimedia design.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work within given creative specifications in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients.
Excellent written and visual communication skills.
Data visualization skills a plus.
