The primary role of the Maintenance Engineer is to ensure sustainable the mechanical reliability of equipment in the assigned production units. This is done by providing technical support to the team of craftsmen and maintenance professionals who work daily with the equipment. The job requires close coordination with the reliability engineer, production unit leaders, the technology improvement group, plant operations personnel and the site Technical Support and Integrated Support Organizations. Assigned production units are very mechanical in nature and as such, the successful candidate must have a good understanding of machinery and be capable of translating that knowledge both to craftsmen and to leadership. Must be able to use equipment knowledge to contribute to the development of facility & equipment maintenance strategies to ensure long term reliability of equipment. Participation in, and occasional leading of root cause investigations is expected, as well as development and implementation of effective solutions from the investigation.Key Responsibilities:

Focuses on sustaining equipment performance through quality execution of maintenance work.

Develop technical expertise in assigned manufacturing equipment.

Collaborate with equipment manufacturer as necessary to resolve technical problems

Participates in Root Cause Investigations to provide accurate technical input and develop sound, practical solutions

Work with reliability engineer to develop and implement maintenance strategies.

Interface with other functions within the site to ensure optimal equipment reliability (operations, projects, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelors degree with a discipline in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 2-7years maintenance/reliability and/or rotating equipment experience ispreferred.

Experience in a chemical manufacturing facility is preferred.

Experience in reliability modeling, budgeting for expenditures, Six Sigma methodology, and leading projects is preferred.

Strong interpersonal, technical, and leadership skills.
