Heavy Civil Construction Firm on the Northshore is seeking an experienced Human Resource/Payroll Assistant. Competitive Pay, great benefits and excellent potential to grow within a stable organization.
The HR/Payroll Assistant Duties include, but are not limited to:
In charge of administering employee benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, temporary disability, wellness programs, and 401K
Explanation of benefits and policies
Monitor employee compensation , raises and title changes
Prepare and complete job descriptions, post ads on job search engines
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, etc.)
Liaison between employees and insurance companies
Manage enrollments and determine employee eligibility
Keep updated employee records demographics with all relevant information (Marital Status, Years of Service, hours worked, etc.)
Gathering information on hours worked for each employee
Processing time for all employees
Keep Track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information
At Less 2+ years experience in HR and Payroll preferred.
Knowledge of ComputerEase a plus but not required.
