We are looking for a hard-working, motivated, and energetic full-time employee to work on our food truck and in our food hall restaurant stall. Ideally, we would like to hire someone who has cooking experience in a restaurant (with or without wheels), customer service experience/skills, and experience driving trucks. You'll be cooking, garnishing, and serving tacos and other Latin American food. And you eat for free while working!
We are looking for foodies who are excited about our delicious Latin American cuisine. Flexibility and adaptability are important, as unforeseen issues or events come up frequently that require quick thinking, problem-solving, and a willingness to work an occasional last-minute shift. Attention to detail and people skills are key, as we take great pride in our food and our customer service. And a positive attitude is critically important; despite the chaos of working on a kitchen on wheels, we want our truck to continue to be a place where our customers love to come and where our employees love to work.
Hours: 30-40 hours per week, depending on the week. Hours will vary from week to week, but expect mostly evening and weekend shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepping and garnishing tacos, arepas, etc. (MUST KEEP YOUR STATION CLEAN)
Taking orders on the iPad Square Register (SMILES and GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS a must!)
Opening/Closing Side-Work
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to read/speak English
Must be reliable and on time!
Must have prior cooking and/or customer service experience (restaurant, food truck, caterer, etc)
Must be able to work on your feet all day
Must be comfortable working long hours in a small/confined work environment
Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task
Must be tidy and organized in your workspace
Must abide by all hygiene/health codes
Must be able to operate cooking equipment safely and cautiously
Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
Must have a clean driving record and no criminal history
Friendly/cool/fun to work with is a plus
