UPS is hiring temporary, seasonal Driver Helpers in Hammond, LA. As a Driver Helper, you will not drive the delivery vehicle, but will assist the driver in the delivery of packagesto local business and residential addresses. Driver Helper seasonal opportunities are typically between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday time period.
Driver Helpers usually meet the UPS driver at a mutually agreed upon time and location each weekday. Workdays are typically Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday, depending on facility needs. Hours can vary, but usually begin after 8:00 a.m. and end before 8:00 p.m. Driver Helpers must comply with UPS appearance guidelines. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs. It requires excellent customer contact skills and a lot of walking.

Hourly pay of $14/hour, paid weekly
Monday-Friday schedules, with occasional Saturdays

Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
Available to work up to a full-time schedule between 8 am and 8 pm, 5 days per week
Able to lift packages weighing 25-35 lbs on average, and up to 70 lbs without assistance
Willing to submit to background and drug screening
Legally able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship
