Since 1945, Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights has been manufacturing the highest quality traditional, antique and custom-designed hand-made lighting fixtures. Today, we are the largest manufacturer of handmade copper lanterns in the world.
Bevolo Gas & Electric Lights currently has multiple openings for full-time and part-time personnel to support our Manufacturing/Warehouse Facility in New Orleans (French Quarter). Work is Monday-Friday from 8-4:30. Responsibilities will vary depending on previous experience and the position being filled, but a few examples are:
Support for Production/Manufacturing (patina products, cleaning, creating sub-assemblies, quality control, organizing, loading/unloading, inventory counts, etc.)
Hard work, dedication and ability will determine the ideal department in which the employee can be most successful and result in a long term career with Bevolo.
Necessary Qualifications Include (but not limited to):
Ability to understand basic math and measurements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable Transportation (potential need to work at other locations at times…specifically Harvey)
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk; listen; stand; walk; touch; type and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift lanterns and products, up to 50 pounds, and climb up/down a ladder/stairs. This position requires the employee to work in a non-air conditioned environment.
