The Personnel Modernization (PersMod) team is searching for aSr. Systems Administratorto join their program. Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing, and maintaining the program virtual infrastructure.

This position performs the following responsibilities/functions:

• Daily systems administration, monitoring, and system maintenance on RHEL 7 and Windows Server 2012
  
• Performs software upgrades, patch installs, firmware upgrades then test for functionality on a periodic basis.
  
• Diagnosis and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software
  
• Daily written and oral communications with coworkers and leadership
  
• Continual attention to periodic SCAP and STIG requirements needed to harden the servers
  
• Troubleshoot and configure servers in a virtual environment
  
• Create scripts in various shells to automate daily and periodic tasks.
  
• Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, and brief staff and customers various tasks
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree; additional experience may be substituted for the degree
  
• 4+ years of experience in network/systems administration:
  
  • Administering, optimizing, and configuring Linux and Windows servers
    
  • Creating and configuring new servers in a virtual environment (AWS preferred)
    
  • Working knowledge of Oracle databases
    
  • Working knowledge installing and configuring Tableau
    
  • Working knowledge installing and configuring Informatica Suite of products
    
  • Working knowledge installing and configuring Redhat JBoss
    
  • Working knowledge installing and configuring WSO2
    
  • Improvingsystem operations and functionality, monitoring and optimization of the servers
    
  • Requires ability to work in a collaborative environment to troubleshoot and resolve problems
    
  • PERSMOD experience
    
• DoD Secret clearance is required to start (Interim acceptable)
  
• Security+ CE
  
• Operating system or database system certification
