Boasso Global, a premier intermodal service company providing transportation and tank container services, is seeking a skilled Chassis Mechanic to support its operations at our Chalmette, LA facility.
The primary responsibilities of this position include maintaining trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, and pneumatic and hydraulic system parts, modifying, constructing, and repairing frames, metal truck bodies, and trailers, installing electric wiring for dome lights, taillights, brake lights, and other equipment, fitting and assembling components using hand tools and portable power tools, spraying or brushing primer or protective coating on wood and metal surfaces, and other duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, possess a mechanical background, be able to wear a respirator, and will have worked in an industrial setting.
