Northern Light Mayo HospitalDepartment: General Education & DevelopmntPosition is located: Mayo HospitalWork Type: Full TimeHours Per Week: 40.00Work Schedule: No Hours AssignedSummary:Vice President of Education, Innovation, & Preparedness is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical performance through quality educational programs and activities to promote and support professional competency for nursing, inter-professional and non-licensed clinical staff. This role leverages healthcare industry insights and disease management expertise to advance clinical outcomes and ensure program fidelity across service lines. Working with the Executive Leadership, Directors and Department Managers, the VP ensures service line performance aligns with high-quality benchmarks, fostering transformative staff development and educational growth. The VP is responsible for establishing and advancing clinical philosophies and quality of care. This position will also maintain regulatory readiness and emergency preparedness in line with Northern Light Health system, CMS Conditions of Participation and the Joint Commission standards.Responsibilities:

Leads initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes, reduce variability in care delivery, and advance evidence-based practices.

Identifies and designs educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, which includes licensed and non-licensed personnel.

Oversees the evaluation and enhancement of inpatient and outpatient clinical programming and service quality.

Engages in strategic planning within the clinical education areas of responsibility (that may include technology advancements) by embracing and driving meaningful change, identifying, and addressing barriers to change, assists in the development, resource utilization and implementation of change strategies by educating/supporting staff, and monitors sustainability of change.

Promotes high-performing teams and a culture of innovation within the hospital, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and practices that improve care delivery.

Oversees the evaluation and enhancement of inpatient and outpatient clinical programming and service quality.

Ensures that clinical strategies and operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines.

Works closely with clinical departments, physician, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated across the hospital, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high-quality care.

Competence in leveraging technology to support health initiatives, including electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, mobile health applications, and data analytics tools.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams towards a common goal. This includes fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.

Experience in building partnerships with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, patients, and technology vendors, to support integrated care models and collaborative initiatives.

Ability to manage budgets, secure funding for new initiatives, and demonstrate the return on investment of population health programs Commitment to ethical principles in healthcare, ensuring that health initiatives respect patient autonomy, equity, and access to care.
