The Disaster Recovery IT Analyst provides advanced technical guidance and support to Tyler's internal customers (employees) and external customers (clients).
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain cloud architecture in support of hosting backup and continuity platforms.
Assist in maintaining the hosting backup and business continuity platforms.
Install, configure, and administer customer supporting computer software.
Troubleshoot related network issues including Firewall/VPN/SSL devices.
Analyze system requirements and configure servers in support of customer needs.
Monitor security systems and Windows updates.
Configure and maintain standalone and network backups.
Research options for new or improved technologies.
Respond to advanced hosting IT issues related to Disaster Recovery.
Provide escalation path for support calls from IT Specialists.
Qualifications
The IT Analyst must be able to:
Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a wide range of clients, both internal and external, from technical to non-technical and from management to clerical.
Multitask between responding to IT issues and researching projects.
Handle advanced AWS, Windows O/S, Virtualization and other IT issues with minimal assistance.
Stay educated on the newest technologies.
Continually research ways to improve the policies, procedures, tools, software and hardware for their customer base.
Education, Experience, and Special Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer technology or formal PC training plus comparable experience
IT certifications such as MCITP, and AWS CCP, CCSA or CCSP
Proven IT experience primarily with hardware, servers, software and networking
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced, technical environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude.
Requires advanced knowledge of:
Windows Operating System
Active Directory
Virtualization and clustering technologies
Public Cloud Environments (AWS and/or Azure)
DNS, networking, firewalls, VOIP and printers
Relational Database systems
