Gartley & Dorsky Engineering & Surveying is seeking a motivated, team-oriented individual to join our structural team. The ideal candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a concentration in structures, 2-8 years of relevant experience, including experience drafting in AutoCAD. The successful candidate will join Gartley & Dorsky’s multidisciplinary firm, working closely with our two licensed structural engineers. The structural team provides comprehensive structural engineering services, including structural analysis, structural design, structural plan development and drafting, field inspections and associated reports, construction documents, construction administration, project management and other related tasks. Our structural projects are extremely varied, including everything from small residential renovations to large-scale industrial projects to marine engineering to historic structures to small- and mid-sized commercial. Wood design knowledge is essential. The primary responsibilities will include some combination of project management, field work, drafting and engineering analysis, with the amount of each dependent on the unique qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Excellent communication skills and organization are required, along with an ability to multi-task and juggle numerous projects at once.
