Goodfire Brewing Co. is looking to add an EXPERIENCED BREWER to our production team. The Goodfire production facility has a 15Bbl system with four 30 Bbl fermenters, one 15 Bbl fermenter, two 6 Bbl puncheons and two 5 Bbl Grundy tanks. Looking for a dedicated, skilled, motivated and courteous brewer to join our close-knit team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
-STRICT ADHERENCE TO PRODUCTION/RECIPE STANDARDS AND SOP'S.
-PRODUCTION OF WORT THAT FALLS INTO THE REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS.
-MONITORING FERMENTATION TEMPERATURE AND ACTIVITY.
-MAINTAINING PROPER AND ACCURATE BREW HOUSE RECORDS.
-CELLAR WORK WHEN NECESSARY (CIP’S, SIP, BEER TRANSFERS, DRY-HOPPING, ETC.)
-YEAST HARVEST/QUALITY CONTROL
-PACKAGING SET-UP AND PACK-OUT OF CANS EACH WEEK.
-PILOT BREWING
-PARTICIPATE IN QUALITY ANALYSIS OF FINISHED PRODUCT
QUALIFICATIONS
-AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF PROVEN BREWING EXPERIENCE IN A PRODUCTION/PACKAGING BREWERY INCLUDING WORT CREATION ON A 5+ BARREL BREWING SYSTEM
-DEMONSTRATED TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS IN PRIOR POSITIONS.
-SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL ALSO POSSESS:
-ABILITY TO MANAGE MULTIPLE PROJECTS SIMULTANEOUSLY
-AN INTEREST IN DIALOGUE SURROUNDING IMPROVEMENTS TO PROCESSES IN THE BREWERY
-WILLINGNESS TO ASSIST WITH TASKS OUTSIDE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-COMMUNICATE EFFICIENTLY WITH THE TEAM
-ABILITY TO WORK IN TIGHT CORRIDORS WITH 1 TO 2 OTHER PEOPLE
-MUST BE FASTIDIOUS WITH DATA ENTRY AND COMPLETION OF PAPERWORK
MUST BE ABLE TO:
-LIFT 55 LBS AND GROUP LIFT 165 LBS OCCASIONALLY
-STAND FOR 8-10 HOURS PER DAY
-OPERATE A FORKLIFT
-HANDLE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS RESPONSIBLY
-PROPERLY HANDLE COMPLEX MACHINERY
EXPECTED HOURS:
MON-THURS 8-10 HRS PRODUCTION BREWING AND/OR PACKAGING
FRIDAY 8-12PM GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING.
TOTAL: 40HRS/WEEK
COMPENSATION BASED ON EXPERIENCE. BENEFITS INCLUDE HEALTH, DENTAL, PTO, MERCHANDISE AND BEER.
