The Portland Harbor Hotel located in the Old-Port, a Victorian District of lovingly restored shops and restaurants, has an immediate opening for a Night Auditor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Manager on duty responsible for overnight hotel operations
+ Enjoy working overnight shift from 11pm to 7am
+ Audit, balance, post and report on all daily transactions. Ensure proper cash handing procedures are followed.
+ Run audit reports, journals from the front office system, point of service.
+ Make corrections and adjustments as needed; handle all computer problems that may occur on shift.
+ Be aware of all safety procedures and policies in the event of an emergency.
+ Work with security on site to ensure proper building walk-through
+ Preparation and delivery of overnight room service orders from a limited menu (earn tips)
+ Free parking is provided on premise
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills; must have command of the English language both written and verbal
+ Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and solve routine mathematical calculations without error;
+ Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers
