Two Fat Cats Bakery is seeking a full-time employee in our thriving wholesale and shipping department. This position is based at our Lancaster Street location in Portland, Maine.
The Wholesale and Shipping Assistant is a morning position, 6am - 2pm and works with the Wholesale Manager and morning bakers to fulfill wholesale and shipping orders. The day starts with packing up pies, pastries and cakes to go out to our (awesome) wholesale partners. Next on the agenda is packing up our shipping orders and prepping product for future shipments. Throughout the day we perform a range of related activities such as: communicating with wholesale customers, placing orders and tracking inventory, cutting and packaging bars and brownies; assembling and packaging dry ingredients for our make-at-home kits, making our house-made sugars and (you guessed it) packaging them up! There's also some light baking and final glazing of pastries that occurs.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail oriented, works equally well on their own or as part of a team, and has a deep, sincere passion for delicious baked goods. Production experience is a plus but not absolutely essential.
The hours for this position are 6am-2pm Tuesdays through Saturdays.
