The Back Cove Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinary assistant to join our brand new, locally owned, veterinary hospital in Portland. We are a paper-less practice equipped with digital radiology (including a designated dental suite), ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, and dedicated cat waiting, exam and treatment areas. We are seeking to fill both full and part time veterinary assistant positions with the following responsibilities: greeting clients and pets, handling and restraining animals for veterinary procedures, keeping the hospital clean and presentable, handling client communications and assisting veterinary technicians as needed. Applicants must have a positive attitude, excellent communication and multi-tasking skills and computer proficiency. The ideal candidate has at least 1-year of experience working in a veterinary hospital. Applicants should expect a flexible schedule and be available to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.
