We are actively looking for a Stitcher with production sewing experience to join our growing team located in Saco, ME. We design and manufacture a line of canvas bags and cases with leather trim. This is an ideal position for a self-starter who likes to be kept busy. We are seeking a detail orientated person with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 4PM. Some light lifting is required.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete work in accordance with specifications and samples to assure that product is manufactured to current design requirements. Awareness of safety and quality must always be present.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive task for reasonable amounts of time.
- Ability to apply vast sewing knowledge and techniques to our products.
- Set up, operate, and maintain all sewing machines.
- Notify supervisor of any issues requiring a service technician.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintains personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years production sewing experience
- Possesses the ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment without direct supervision
- Display the motivation and initiative necessary to deliver quality products in a timely manner
- Ability to perform light lifting (up to 30lbs)
