If you want to make a difference in the fight to beat Donald Trump, and help Democrats up and down the ticket, WE NEED YOU! The Progressive Turnout Project is seeking Field Representatives in the Portland metro area! It's a great job, and you really get to make an on-the-ground difference!

We are looking to hire Field Representatives who will be speaking to voters throughout the coming months. Beginning in late June, these Field Reps will be paid $20-$25/hr ($3,466 to $4,333 per month), work 40 hours a week, and will be provided benefits such as health insurance, student loan assistance, travel assistance, and more.

We'll be going door-to-door and talking directly with voters, the face-to-face on the ground conversations that win elections. This is a great job for anyone looking to get a foot in the door into politics, and folks with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Start Date: Late June (subject to change based on public health and safety guidelines)

End Date: November 3rd, 2020

Responsibilities:

Communicate with assigned voters in a community via door-to-door canvassing, text messaging, and phone calls, in accordance with PTP messaging guidance

Secure commitments to vote and assist voters in making a plan to vote

Accurately record the results of all attempted outreach in accordance with PTP data standards

Produce social media content to promote PTP’s work in the community

Maintain professionalism and sincerity at all times, especially when communicating with voters

Other duties as needed

Required Qualifications (You will be a good fit if):

You have a passion for progressive politics

You have strong verbal communication skills

You have the ability to meet deadlines and goals

You have access to a vehicle (position requires frequent travel within assigned territory)

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

You have previous political canvassing experience, either as staff or volunteer

You’re bilingual or fluent in Spanish

Compensation offered will be commensurate with experience. Full-time employees are eligible for employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, 401(k), and student loan stipend. Full- and part-time employees are eligible for a transportation stipend, paid time off, and paid holidays.
