Fair Elections Portland is a campaign to put two questions on the ballot this November. Both questions are charter amendments. One would set up public funding for Clean Elections for Portland City Council, School Board, and Mayoral campaigns; the other would extend Ranked Choice voting to City Council and School Board ballots.
We currently need part-time staff to assist in the signature gathering effort. The successful applicant will go door to door in Portland neighborhoods collecting signatures from voters. The position is part time and temporary until July 29th.

Core Responsbilities:
20 hours per week Mon-Thurs 3:30 to 8:30 PM
Collecting signatures door to door in Portland
Reaching signature goals
Answering questions about the issues and the campaign
Volunteer recruitment of supportive voters
Potentially coordinating with volunteer signature collecting team
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Registered to vote in Portland, Maine
Able to spend 4 to 5 hours per day outside walking in all weather conditions
Ability to meet goals consistently without close supervision
Prior experience in voter outreach, political engagement, or public education is helpful but not required
