Catholic Charities Maine Threads of Hope in Portland has a Full Time (35-40 hours per week, on average) opening for a Furniture Donation Pick Up/Warehouse Manager. The Furniture Donation Pick Up/Warehouse Manager shall be responsible for driving the box truck for donation pick-ups in local Maine routes in an efficient, safe and courteous manner. Shall schedule pick-ups over the phone and via email with local donors and organize donations in warehouse space in a clear and efficient manner. The Manager is responsible for loading and unloading transport material (and overseeing the loading & unloading process) in a manner that safeguards, protects and prevents damage to the donor's property, the donations themselves as well as the equipment used to pick up and unload the donations. The Manager shall have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Eligible candidates must have a clean driving record, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of basic math & computer skills. Must be comfortable scheduling pick-ups over the phone. Must be able to stay on task and communicate weekly schedule. Shall have previous work experience sufficient to indicate an ability to successfully undertake this position. Must be able to lift 50lbs unaided using proper techniques. Would be a great job for someone with previous moving experience. Shifts are Monday through Friday. Pay starts between $14 and $15 an hour.
