Job Title: Receiver

Department: Grocery

Reports to: Store Manager or designate

Qualifications:

Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Working knowledge of computers. Available to work specific days of the week and early morning shifts, specific days of the week and early morning shifts. Effective interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide outstanding friendly customer service. Communicate with and assist customers in selection of product.

2. Monitor and check for accuracy all items delivered and credited to the store

3. Maintain cleanliness and condition of all equipment

4. Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.

5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including outside dock area

6. Take initiative to aggressively solve time sensitive issues

7. Develop and maintain good working relationships with store personnel, DSD vendors and store Management.

8. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Be a role model for all Bow Street behaviors

2. Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices.

3. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and comply with company personal appearance policy.

4. Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship.

5. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.

6. Ensure that product received meets company quality standards and authorization requirements

7. Maintain department compliance with pricing

8. Enter information into both desk top and hand held computers

9. Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision.

10. Assist in training other associates when assigned.

11. Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.

12. Work within our company's management planning (MPP) guidelines to maintain productivity.

13. Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed. Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards.

14. Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.

15. Have total understanding of department's standard practice manual and its intent.

16. Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.

17. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

1. Lift cases weighing up to 40lbs at least 50% of the time

2. Stand or walk 100% of the time

3. Frequent kneeling, squatting and squatting

4. Frequent reaching, grasping and lifting individual items below waist level or above shoulder level

5. Utilize desk top and hand held computers to enter and retrieve data

6. Ability to use desktop and handheld computers to enter and retrieve data.

7. Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to four hours at a time.
