In search of the right person to join my small but successful HVAC company apprenticing under a master HVAC technician.
I am looking for a guy (or girl) that fits the following characteristics-
-Healthy able bodied- Not lazy or out of shape, not old and worn out, not eating junk food every day, not smoking, not doing ANY drugs, not drinking excessively. This job is somewhat physically demanding. I need you to be able to do your job well.
-Motivated- Someone that wants to work, someone that is eager to learn HVAC, someone that is always on time for work, likes to make money, isn't constantly playing on their phone when they should be working, wants to someday be in charge or working on their own, tries to get their HVAC licenses without constantly being pestered.
-Smart- As an HVAC tech you need to know a lot, things constantly change. You need to always be learning and growing. If you are very,shall we say slow at learning, then this might not be the best career for you.
-Has good morals and manners- Someone that is 100% honest and does the right thing even when nobody knows about it. Not just sometimes,ALL the time.
-Is loyal- If I give up my money and time to train you and pay you then you need to be loyal to me and the company not just jump ship because the grass was greener on the other side. Help the company to succeed and you will be rewarded.
-Experience, licenses- Licenses and schooling would be good but at least some experience "working on stuff" is required. I can't afford to spend a year teaching someone how to use an adjustable wrench.
-Have a good attitude- Not looking for winy baby complainers. we are looking for adults that can roll with it when things don't go their way.
