Deep Cove Sailing operates off of the Portland Maine Waterfront. We sail aboard The Halie & Matthew, a 114' Fiberglass Gaff Rigged Schooner, built in Maine. Deep Cove Sailing is in search of a captain starting in April 2021. We will be providing two hour public sails in and around Casco Bay. Candidates must have their USCG 100ton captain's license with sailing endorsement and have experience with a similar sized vessel. Should be able to lead a crew and passengers on a safe and family friendly sailing adventure. Candidates should have excellent communication skills for working with crew, owner, and guests. The responsibility of training the crew and and helping with boat maintenance is required. Compensation will depend on experience. We are looking for both a full time and a relief captain.
