Driver/Material Mover

We have immediate needs for Material Transporters (Non CDL Drivers) for our southern Maine region on our days and nights. This position is very physically demanding as the Driver must make frequent stops to Hannaford stores to load and unload bags of redeemable bottles which could weigh up to 60 lbs. The average CLYNK bag weighs 20 lbs. The successful Material Transporter must be physically fit and enjoy frequent, quick stops along their route.

Box truck experience is strongly preferred but we will train the right candidate with moving or manufacturing experience!
ANDEven though this position does NOT require a CDL, we will invest in your future by giving you the experience/training to test for a CDL License (Licensing Fee paid by CLYNK)
Position Summary:
In the Material Transporter position, you will play a lead role in helping CLYNK customers redeem and recycle their beverage containers.Your day begins by departing our Biddeford or South Portland facility and going to multiple CLYNK depots and bottle rooms to collect/load CLYNK bags (30 pounds on average) onto a truck. At the end of the day, you will unload those bags when you return to your place of departure. Because CLYNK has thousands of customers, this is a very physical job and one that has you ‘carefully’ handling lots and lots of bags. Our customers love the service, and you will interact with them often, so your ability to be gracious and professional is extremely important.
In this role:
You must be able to load and unload your vehicle. Bags can weigh up to 60 pounds
You must be reliable, punctual, responsible, and mature
You should be accustomed to working safely but quickly
You must have a valid Class C license and clean driving record, along with previous experience driving dock height, 26' box trucks
You should be comfortable representing CLYNK in a friendly and professional manner to customers and store associates
You will need transportation that can reliably get you to work prior to the start of each shift (we find the bus does not work for this position’s schedule)

Schedules:
Day and Night shifts are available on different days of the week and are typically about 10 hours but can range from 8 hours to 12 hours depending on the season. For Full Time roles, expect one weekend shift per week. Please keep in mind that Weekends are our busiest days, and Summer is our busiest season.
