Registered Nurses work in collaboration with physicians and members of other healthcare disciplines and are often at the center of this collaboration. They require a large base and ever expanding base of knowledge used to assess, plan and intervene to promote health, prevent disease and help residents and their families cope with illness, injury and disability. They observe, assess and document symptoms, reactions and progress, which provides the basis for interdisciplinary care planning and intervention. They are health educators and advocates for residents, families and communities. RN's have a unique scope of practice and can practice independently, although they also must effectively collaborate with all members of the health care team to provide the care needed by each Resident. Education: Graduation from an approved program as a Registered Nurse. Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
Holds current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing in the State of Maryland.
Holds current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
