Kingdom Care is seeking part time Lead Teachers for our amazingly smart, creative and kind students! As a Lead Teacher, you will have opportunities to interact with school age children after their school day, and provide homework guidance, followed by leading the students in imagination building games, activities and more. Bring your enthusiasm and passion for working with kids! Our U.S. Patent Pending Enrichment Program provides our teachers with the blueprint to create connections with students and the environment in which teachers can build upon experience and education for a career that provides for growth and development! Applicants must be at least 20 years of age. Please note this position does not offer childcare.

Essential Functions:

Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels children as needed using Conscious Discipline and appropriate behavior management techniques.

Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment are appropriately maintained.

Accurately completes all classroom paperwork, e.g., Daily Reports, accident reports, attendance records.

Attends all team meetings, trainings and events as requested; limits unscheduled absences.

Provides support and direction to the Director and Assistant Director to ensure the group functions in an orderly manner.

Presents a positive and professional image at all times adhering to uniform requirements.

Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child's development.

Maintains open and effective communication with director.

Identifies opportunities and/or problems and works with the assistant teacher and/or center director to resolve.

Maintains certification requirements (three Continuing Education Credits per year).

Maintains confidentiality regarding families, co-workers and self.

Education/Experience:

Ideal candidate will have an AA(or credit equivalent) degree in Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies or a similar discipline. Those with the 45 clock hrs Child Development (birth through school-age), 45 clock hrs Curriculum for School Age Care, the 9 clock hrs of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public, and 400 hours of experience with School children or 1 year of college (30 semester hours) will also be given consideration on a case by case basis. Drug Testing will be required upon hiring.

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
