The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Assistant Area Engineer for immediately employment; the employee will be assigned to the SHA District 4 Office in Hunt Valley, MD. This qualified Assistant Area Engineer applicant will provide support services to SHAs District 4 Construction Department.
Duties would include:
Maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to public works installations and projects
Attend Meeting for the Area Engineers and report back details of the meetings
Prepare Responses to Contractor Correspondences
Ability to Review and Comment on Contractor Progress Schedule
Review and Comment on Change Orders submitted by Contractors
Review and Process Approvals for Subcontractors
Ability to communicate effectively and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
Knowledge of basic mathematics used in engineering design, drawings and drafting
Preferred Qualifications :
10-15 years of experience with Maryland State DOT Transportation Projects focusing on the construction administration of them. Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation required
