We have been customizing and manufacturing replacement windows, doors, gutters, siding and roofing in the Mid-Atlantic region since 1980. We are looking for a Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team in our climate controlled facilities in Upper Marlboro, MD.

This is a full-time permanent position:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on various types of window fabrication equipment in our factory. In addition, this role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, installing new equipment, and finding ways to decrease downtime and maximize productivity.

Perform emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment during machine services.

Must be able to program PLCs and/or CNCs while having the capability to troubleshoot.

Must be able to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance tasks on various CNCs, Saws, Punches, and other fabrication equipment.

Must be able to perform electrical repairs and/or installations on production equipment, working from machine prints and instruction manuals.

Prepare and set up CNC machinery for scheduled production, including changing fixtures and programs.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Must have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic operated machinery, equipment, and systems.

Respond to calls in a timely manner while simultaneously prioritizing most important to least important.

Seek ways to improve processes, preventative maintenance measures, and equipment performance.

Clean tools and work area after completing tasks.

Help maintain parts inventory by communicating when parts inventory is low or depleted and perform inventory cycle counts.

Collaborate with Production and Maintenance manager to schedule work to be performed on equipment, with minimal downtime.

Assist with new equipment installations and tear downs to ensure proper outcomes.

Work with outside contractors as necessary (with plant mgr. approval).

Follow safety protocol and collaborate with safety personnel to ensure that machines are properly guarded, procedures are followed, and PPE is utilized to minimize injuries.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Previous maintenance experience is required.

Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced work environment.

Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and mangers individually and in a group setting.

Knowledge of PLC and CNC programming.

Spanish and English speaking is a plus, not required.

Position may require overtime hours to be worked on a short notice.
