Scale Attendant Position Overview:
Weighs trucks entering and or leaving the facility. Calculate sales tickets and collect fees. Manage and maintains efficient and orderly work environment while working safely. Communicates information effectively between scale house and operations.
Scale Attendant Qualifications:
⢠Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
⢠Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment and maintain accuracy
⢠Customer Service Skills - able to work independently and in a team environment
⢠Knowledge of basic office duties and willingness to learn
⢠Basic math and cashiering skills
⢠Bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not a requirement
Scale Attendant Requirements:
⢠Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00-4:00, Sat 7:00-2:00 (Sat 7:00-Noon Dec thru Feb).
⢠Reliability and punctuality is a must
Scale Attendant Duties:
⢠Weighing trucks in/out
⢠Accurately calculating weights/prices on the scale tickets
⢠Answering phones
⢠Keeping the office tidy
⢠Must be able to quickly and accurately count change back to cash sale customers
