Overview: This role will be to support of a U.S. Army Division providing personnel services performing access control, badge check and facility inspections to ensure compliance with protection and security requirements in a large compound area consisting of multiple high-rise buildings. The Armys objective is to establish on-site professional support service for building lobby reception.

Primary Responsibilities:

Acknowledge personnel upon entering the facility.

Inspect all Government issued Common Access Cards (CAC) and AGENCY identification badges to prevent un-escorted entry into facility.

Compare the employees face to the photo on the CAC or AGENCY badge.

Physically touch the CAC or AGENCY badge to further measure security or to detect counterfeiting.

Screen unauthorized equipment/material before receiving a AGENCY Visitors badge. Responsible for informing the personnel escorting the visitor(s) that they must maintain a visual line of sight, physical proximity, or other means of control of the visitor(s) throughout the duration of being in that area/ building.

Process badge access applications, visitor requests, and issue badges. If visitor is NOT CLEARED, they require an escort.

Serve as an information center and answer inquiries made by visitors and/or employees.

Ensure visitors register and receive a visitor ID badge and have a proper escort if needed before being allowed entry into the facility.

Confiscate expired badges, log badge and turn into the PM for destruction.

Call the APG Police Department immediately if an unattended bag, box, or any other container is discovered. Complete Suspicious Package Checklist. Do not touch the package.

During the normal duty hours, notify the PM and COR of any security issues, including power failures, SMS issues, locks not working, doors not closing properly, etc.

Randomly inspect bags for cell phones, and any other media storage devices not approved for a restricted area

Monitor all alarms and CCTV, in the event of an alarm signaling a condition or incident contact building security manager.

Check the safe in the lobby once per night and fill out the SF 702.

Call the building custodian for all facility issues.

Register Common Access Cards

Enter personnel into the Security Management System

Education and/or Experience:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

TOP SECRET - SCI Clearance Level Required.

US Government Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

High School Diploma or GED

3-5 years of related experience.

Experience using the JOINT PERSONNEL ADJUDICATION SYSTEM (JPAS).

AT Level 1 Awareness Certificate
