Entry level, full time position at a nationally-recognized, local engineering consulting firm. We specialize in design reviews, and inspection and testing of new residential construction projects. Key clients include owners, architects, developers, production home builders, custom home builders, and multifamily builders.
Job responsibilities include:
ï Working as part of a skilled, experienced team.
Driving to construction sites in Maryland.
ï Performing on-site building inspections for compliance with energy efficient,
and green home certification programs.
ï Performing blower door and HVAC duct tests on newly constructed homes.
ï Delivering verbal and written inspection reports to clients.
Must also be physically fit (i.e., able to lift 45 lbs.), and able to work outdoors in fast-paced construction sites. Must be reliable, professional, and a good communicator. Must also have transportation, and a clean driving record.
Ideally, candidate will have construction experience, and a career focus on developing building science and sustainable building skills, and related professional credentials (e.g., HERS Rater, ENERGY STAR for Homes, LEED for Homes, National Green Building Standard, Commissioning, etc.). Will provide opportunities for advancement and paid training to qualified candidates.
