PC Laptop Technician
We are an IT Asset Disposition firm in Jessup, MD looking for a couple of motivated, hungry, responsible, and smart techies. We need people to sort, test and refurbish various electronic and computer equipment. Then write up detailed information for listing onto various e-commerce sites. You will be responsible for knowing or learning quickly about a wide variety of stuff. Everything from hard drives to high-end HP test equipment. Every day could bring in something new!
DETAILS:
Job Title - PC & Laptop IT Technician Location - Jessup, MD
Hours: M-F 8 am to 4 pm. Full time - 40 hours a week
Technical Competencies:
Ability to pay strong attention to detail and multi-task effectively.
- Have a strong background in PC repair and troubleshooting.
- Able to properly document information legibly.
- Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to communicate and document work.
- Must be able to understand and meet quality standards, methods, and reporting
- Must be able to learn, work and react quickly (Very Important)
- Excellent writing skills needed to write up descriptions of our products for online resale.
- Research skills for determining values of products.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving
- Be able to perform routine manual duties and move about workstations in a busy warehouse environment.
- Be able to work at floor level, waist level, and shoulder level repeatedly.
Non-Technical Competencies and Work Conditions:
- Valid US Citizen with a Valid US Driver's License.
- Punctuality (Be on time, 8am sharp)
- Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check and be Drug-Free (we perform random testing.)
- Must be a fast-paced worker. This job only works if you are a quick mover.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 to 100 lbs. (Sometimes these servers get heavy!)
- Must have a good attitude and be ready to work hard and have fun.
- Be able to work the shift assigned.
- Be able to work in cold & hot weather.
- Maintain effective working condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
- Good working knowledge of parts and materials a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned
