ASSYST is looking for a Junior JAVA Developer to working from our client location in Annapolis, MD.
Candidates must be local to DC/MD area and work onsite.
The Junior Developer will be responsible for analyzing, testing, debugging, and enhancing the Attorney Information System(AIS)

Duties include:

• Analyzes User Interface requirements in order to design and implement.
• Prepares and maintains documentation for all software development phases (Use Cases, Design Documents, UML, Technical Documentation)
• Prepares and implements automated test solutions for each component.
• Prepares and implements automated test solutions for each new interface.
• Packages and configures J2EE components for deployment across Development, Test and Production. Environments. Components include web services, EJB, shared libraries, web apps.
• Servers include Oracle Application Server, Web Logic Application Server, and Stand-alone AIX Server(s).
• Configuration utilizes ANT scripts and includes Security configuration.
• Must be available for 24/7 support of critical J2EE applications.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years of Java/J2EE programming experience.
Skills/Experience:

• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to break down complex concepts into organized and concise units.
• Experience working in an agile, self-motivated environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented concepts, design patterns and UML notation.
• Ability to quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies.

Programming Languages/Frameworks:
Java (J2EE, EJB, JSP, JNI, Servlets, Log4j), XML, HTML, JavaScript, Angular JS, Java Web Script, JQuery, XSLT, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, REST API), Spring Boot Framework, JSON
Database / Application design: Oracle, UML Design Patterns
Operating Systems: Linux
Enterprise Software: Apache Tomcat, RAD, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Web logic Workshop, SVN, Gitlab
