We have an

immediate need to hire a mid-level Java Developer with an Active/Interim DoD Secret clearance to a team we have working on a

multi-year Federal program based in Annapolis Junction, MD.

This role is currently 100% remote, but the preference is for candidates local to the DC area just in case there is a need to go into the office part time at some point in the future. At most, there may be a requirement to go into the office 1 week per month, with the rest remote, but there is no date set for any return part time to the office. This Federal Gov't program requires being a US Cit and having an interim or active DoD Secret clearance to be eligible to work at this Agency.

This role pays a strong base salary, plus choice of healthcare plans (including one with a $0 deductible), dental, vision life/disability insurance, 2-3 weeks PTO (depends on years of experience), 10 paid federal holidays, and a matching 401k. An hourly W2 compensation plan is also available for those not needing full benefits.

Role Overview:

• Responsible for design and development of Java code for a large scale Federal IT Program:
• 4+ years of hands on Java development experience
• Experience with J2EE or other Java frameworks (e.g. Spring)
• Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
• 3 years of work experience with Web development technologies (HTML, JSP, etc.)
• 3 years of work experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting (e.g. ksh, bash, csh, etc.)

Minimum Skills:

• 4+ years of Java development experience in order to build enterprise applications
• 2+ years’ experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program
• Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
• Active Secret Level Security Clearance preferred.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree

Work Authorization: US Citizen

Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (remote work now but prefer someone local)

Clearance Required: Interim or Active
