HII-Cyber & Electronic Warfare is looking for a mid-level Software developer with experience in human machine interface design and development and real-time SW development skills in their Annapolis Junction, MD location. Huntington Ingalls Industries is the nation's largest Shipbuilding for the US Navy. The project is responsible for developing a Virtual Display Unit that integrates Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) SW supporting Program Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Health & Monitoring (HMS) capabilities for shipboard propulsion systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems using real-time embedded software and user interfaces. Team leader responsible for developing schedules and tracking project status. Coordinate with customer representatives and senior SW engineers to develop secure SW architecture and define critical SW requirements. Provide Software configuration control, quality assurance has security hardening in accordance to DoD Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGSs). Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
