Program Summary
The Leidos Intelligence Group has a career opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer / Developer on our large, multi-year contract for the development, integration, deployment and sustainment of large collection systems. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important to our customer and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Position Summary
In this role, you will will be developing a new replacement for an existing software application used to query mission data. The work will primarily be in the middle tier and back-end. It will involve replicating the existing back-end functionality and developing an API to pull in updated data. The position requires someone very familiar with LINUX who can configure the environment (server setup, continuous integration environment, build setup, version control, etc.). This developer will also interface with another developer who will be assisting with developing the front end/user interface. Requires a self-starter that can get a new system setup and flexible with changing requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
7 or more years of higher level programming experience, BS in CS will count toward 2 years of experience
Requires a candidate that is very familiar with LINUX who can configure the environment (server setup, continuous integration environment, build setup, version control, etc.).
Good at working with customers to define requirements and then implement them.
Self-starter that is flexible with changing requirements.
Full stack development experience
Database design experience
Strong LINUX skills
HTML experience
CSS experience
Javascript experience
WebService and API experience
Sharepoint (or similar) experience
MSQL, Oracle, or Sybase development experience
Experience writing SQL statements
Experience with high level languages (especially Java)
Git (or similar version control) experience
Within the last 7 years, a minimum of 5 years' experience with designing, coding, testing, and debugging software to run under either Microsoft Windows (XP or later) or UNIX (Solaris 8 or later, Redhat LINUX) Operating System.
Strong work ethics and focused developer with high productivity.
