DescriptionAccountemps has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term temporary-to-full-time Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. If you are a collaborative team member with a positive attitude and effective communication skills, then this role is for you. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Baltimore, Maryland area and will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time position.Your responsibilities
Complete full-cycle A/P
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Requirements
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
