Keeps facility clean and hazard free.Works in well-lighted, well-ventilated setting, including residents’ rooms. Stands, bends, stoops, and walks during the shift. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. May lift and move residents and equipment. Must be able to use stairs in the event of an emergency, particularly in the event of fires. Must be comfortable performing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases.
Exposed to department cleaning agents/chemicals.
May be exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment.
Responsibilities:Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following tasks and assignments
Follow oral and written instructions
Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy
Daily, clean all areas as assigned, following sanitary procedures.
Promptly reports all maintenance problems.
Adheres to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditions.
Keep equipment, carts and work areas clean, reporting any problems.
Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
High School education or GED.
A minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience in a long- term care setting preferred
