Job Offer Statement
Lees Restaurants are looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to the exact chefs specifications and to set up stations for our menus. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidates will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction, thus return visits to our restaurants. We are willing to pay more, to get more, but if you are not willing to work hard and smart, and always with a great attitude PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
You are Responsible for (and did we mention with a great attitude?):
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out efficiently, consistently, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
What we Require besides hard work and a great attitude (because we have fun every day at work)
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiarity with industrys best practices
ServSafe Certification is a plus
Culinary school diploma, certificate or degree is nice, but a great attitude and work ethic is even better!
