Apex Systems has an opening for a Budget Functional Lead role supporting one of our state/local clients and will provide direct support to the functional lead for budgets. The role/resource will work under the direction of the Functional Lead. Completion of the work will still be the Functional Lead's responsibility. The resource will be an extra set of hands during the project allowing the functional lead to focus on both the project and their operational duties.
Budget Functional Lead Knowledge/Background should include:
-Experience working with City or Governmental principal financial statements and
footnotes
-Strong knowledge of budget check and the various types of budgets plans such as
Award, Financial, Position, and Project.
-Experience with large ERP platforms (Workday preferred, Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
-Experience in budget to actual variance reporting
-Experience gathering complex requirements and documenting into a requirements
traceability matrix (RTM)
-An understanding of role-based security and segregation of duties within an ERP
-Ability to prepare operations manuals, job aides, and provide lead/agency training
-Ability to support the training department and agency coordinators
-Ability to create client specific testing scripts based on client specific requirements
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Advanced ability using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Government and /or City financial systems knowledge is a must
- Experience with Workday Financials
- Experience in large ERP platforms experience is a must
