Background
Hands on JAVA experience. Understands the basics of current versions of JAVA.
Other software platforms (SQL, Oracle and query knowledge) are a plus but not required as we will train to our programs and platforms.
Platforms: Windows, z/OS, AS/400, Unix, Linux, Sun
Databases: TCP/IP communications with popular databases, including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server or any 100% (Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)-compliant database
We will train top to bottom in JAVA and associated systems/platforms.
Knowledge and firm understanding of relational databases: how to access, draft, modify and search tables.
Ability to speak to customers in a professional manner in case any support or troubleshooting arises.
Ideal Candidate
New grad or junior and ready to learn but with JAVA and firm understandings of relational database
Education is not a MUST, but preferred. AS or BS
Will consider more experience over education
