DevOps Engineer - $120,000 - $130,000 Bethesda, MD

The successful candidate will have a background in DevOps and cloud technologies will be a highly motivated and communicative team player to work on a fast-paced team that is building services using cloud technologies following Agile best practices.This opportunity is with a premier commercial real estate finance company!

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer you will leverage knowledge and experience in DevOps practices, automation, infrastructure orchestration, configuration management and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI-CD) to assist in implementing and leveraging a growing set of services and features to run applications.

  • Building, configuring and maintaining a fully automated CI-CD pipeline supporting Salesforce (Lightning-based) and Microsoft Azure (C# APIs and services) environments

  • Sourcing, configuring and implementing automated testing solutions, integrated into the CI-CD pipeline

  • Promoting DevOps and Azure best practices within the team to improve quality, reduce risk, increase security, promote efficiency and reuse, and minimize costs

  • Playing a support role in understanding business needs in context, from user perspective

  • Architecting and documenting designs using best practices with a focus on security

  • Integrating and implementing cloud services in support of workforce efficiency and automation

  • Working in an Agile environment across different teams

  • Communicating and problem-solving daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel

The skills you have:

  • Experience as a DevOps engineer in a scalable production environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Expertise with GitHub, including branching workflows

  • Expertise in implementing CI-CD solutions for a Salesforce development environment

  • Familiarity with monitoring tool suites

  • Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium

  • Experience building infrastructure as code

  • Experience with CD tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible

  • Experience with continuous integration servers like Jenkins

  • Effective decision making and critical thinking skills for problem identification and solution recommendations

  • Ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment for self and team

Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software systems, programming and building and maintaining fully automated CI-CD pipelines across different platforms

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in and deep knowledge of cloud computing, especially Microsoft Azure (Google Cloud a plus)

  • Experience in establishing, maintaining and executing upon systems monitoring/alerting platforms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to collaborate and rally support
