In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Floor Leader for our Insourcing Solutionssite located Bethesda, MD.The following are responsibilities related to the Floor Leader position:
Conduct room inspections to assess the animals’ health and cage environment.
Researching personnel issues involving the animal care staff.
Provide direction to the husbandry staff on Husbandry and Facility issues.
Assist the AFM to provide training to new hires in duties and responsibilities of animal care and operations.
Strictly follow all procedures necessary to maintain animal housing areas.
Receive, inspect and house incoming animals.
Provide quality assurance to include animal health surveillance and facility sanitation.
Participate in customer needs or concerns with the AFM/FM.
The following are minimum qualifications related to the Floor Leaderposition:
Education:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Experience: Three or more year’s related animal care and handling experience required in combination with facility and equipment knowledge.Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level (ALAT) required; LAT certification within 1 year of eligibility.About Insourcing SolutionsCharles River Insourcing Solutions℠ can streamline research by delivering operational and cost efficiencies through the strategic insourcing of GMP, GLP and non-GLP research services from discovery through safety assessment.
