We are seeking an individual to work as a Project Manager – Scientific Reviewer at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.This is a long-term contract position which offers:Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit package

TASKS/SERVICES . The contractor shall:

1.Collaborate with staff in the NHLBI IOD and other NHLBI Divisions and Offices2.Provide analyses, options, and/or recommendations or other information that reflect sound and supported judgment, accounting of relevant assumptions, and an understanding of the NHLBI and NIH missions and goals3.Communicate orally and in writing in a clear, accurate, organized and concise manner4.Interpret and provide timely summaries of relevant clinical and scientific information, as well as policies related to the areas of responsibility5.Gather relevant information from NHLBI Divisions and Centers and other sources (e.g., to contribute to drafting guidance, policies, and procedures)6.Assist in preparing, and providing substantive, timely, and constructive commentary on, materials developed for submittal to NHLBI and NIH leadership and DHHS officials, as well as for dissemination to health professionals, patients, and the public7.Provide knowledge and insight in committees, teams, and/or other groups assembled to contribute to or help accomplish the mission and goals of the NHLBI and NIH.8.Clearly and succinctly identify key issues, problems, different perspectives and relative pros and cons for issues and proposed approaches under consideration as part of NHLBI efforts to advance the missions and goals of the Institute and NIH9.When federal workers are not available; attend meetings, workshops, seminars, in NHLBI relevant topics. Provide Federal Task Leader and other staff a summary of relevant proceedings in writing and/or orally, at staff meetings or in other venues as necessary for the work of NHLBI.10.Proactively identify and follow up on important data, developments, action items, and is- sues relevant to assignments and timely completion of tasks11.Engage colleagues and the supervisor on topics/assignments, and proactively identify new topics and strategies relevant to achieving the goals in support of the NHLBI12.Develop requests for Information from NHLBI customers and collect, analyze, and summarize responses13.Develop and distribute meeting materials, including agendas, slides, background articles, and other relevant documents.14.Support efforts of the Chief Science Advisor Team Regarding the Regenerative Medicine Inovation Project (RMIP).This NIH-wide project was initially launched in response to the 21st Century Cures Act and is focused on inovating and accelerating the use of adult stem cells in the treatment and cure of human disease.15.Support efforts of the Chief Science Advisor in leading the Institute’s COVID-19 activities.16.Assist in the management and tracking of the various workstreams (clinical trials; NHLBI network of networks; CONNECTS); longitudinal studies and NHLBI co-hort of cohorts; community engagement activities; and development of a patient diagnostic and referral core and registry, analytical platform, and data and bio- specimen repositories.REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:1.Ph.D. in biomedical or life sciences or related field.
