Responsibilities
  • Provides support in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 development and administration services for SharePoint On-Premises, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Stream, Power Platform, etc.
  • Follows Microsoft best practices and patterns in implementing and deploying custom solutions and advices on right technologies and frameworks.
  • Develops and validates solutions in Development and Staging environments before deploying to production environment. Keeps all the environments in sync.
  • Maintains tasks and priorities. Answers questions related to tasks, roles, in a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues that affect the ability of the SharePoint and M365 Services performing at full functionality. Troubleshoots and corrects issues and concerns to affect the functionality of the web sites.
  • Monitors systems, custom solutions and reports and take corrective action to fix the issues and optimize usage of system resources.
  • Installs and configures the SharePoint application in Windows environment.
  • Upgrades custom solutions as required with new APIs and requirements changes.
  • Provides solutions architecture advice for Enterprise SharePoint and Microsoft 365 supports.
  • Designs and documents the appropriate solutions based on information architecture, taxonomy analysis and the customer’s functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensures changes are planned and implemented in a sound, low risk manner, without creating system outages.
  • Develops and maintains detailed and accurate documentation (or Standard Operating Procedures) as requested by the Service Manager, team lead, etc. Documentation may be required for operational procedures, troubleshooting aids, and technical analyses for products, features, and capabilities.
  • Ensures all changes are documented and logged through the use change management procedures. Ensures all codes and files are properly maintained in DevOps source control system.
  • Provides support for farm, server, database, site, and file level backup and restores.
  • Implements security structures provided by the security infrastructure group to prevent unauthorized access and maintain system security.
  • Maintains, tunes, and patches systems for optimum performance and security and with no or minimal downtime.
  • Provides support in a production 24x7 environment, with rotating on-call duties. This includes work on nights and weekends to provide operations support, deployments, security patching, and accommodate customer needs for off-hours maintenance completion.

Job Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge and at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience working in a SharePoint and Microsoft 365 development and administration. Experience in building custom features and solutions such as Web Parts, Timer Jobs, Event Receivers, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in SharePoint Features & Solutions, SPFx webparts, PowerShell scripting and programming using Microsoft 365 graph APIs.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft 365 services using PowerShell scripting modules such as PnP PowerShell, SharePoint Online Management PowerShell, Teams PowerShell, Azure PowerShell, etc.
  • Knowledge and hands-on development using Power Platform services such as Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps and Power BI reporting.
  • Experience with SharePoint out of the box workflows as well as third party workflow tools such as Nintex is a plus.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience using and administering Microsoft 365 technologies such as OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, Stream, Power Platform, etc.
  • Experience using source control systems such as SVN, TFS, Azure DevOps servers, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the SharePoint application, with formal training; experience with SharePoint implementation.
  • Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework and ASP.NET is a plus.
  • Excellent problem management and troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve SharePoint and Microsoft 365 service-related issues.
  • Great customer service and interfacing with cross-functional teams required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
